Building Resilience: Values in Healthcare
The Brahma Kumaris Durban
A resourceful response to stress and burnout - coping skills for developing practitioner resilience
Some people seem to bounce back from difficult times, while others may decline into depression or ill health. This workshop will help participants identify the qualities of resilience of those who triumph over adversity, experience what it feels like to express them in action, and then apply these insights to our work and personal lives.
A modular development programme which will help professionals and teams to support themselves and their clients/patients. Through experiential exercises and opportunities for reflection and self-enquiry, participants can identify their own core values and discover how their insights can enhance and revitalise their work and their personal lives. This will enable all professionals in all settings to cope better with their work, raise morale and restore a sense of purpose, helping to prevent problems of burnout, sickness absence and staff retention.
